STEM Tennis Clinic
Tennis is a sport that promotes self-discipline, sportsmanship, humility and class. The best aspect that tennis offers is it is a sport that can be learned and played at any age.
We are thrilled that STEM teacher Alexandra Braeger will run a co-ed tennis clinic through STEM Academy during the month of April! The clinic will be every Tuesday and Thursday, beginning March 31st and ending on April 30th, and it will last from 4:00pm - 5:30pm. We have arranged to utilize the courts at Redstone nearby the school for this event. Each lesson will focus on a different skill and is designed to teach students who have never played tennis the sport while also allowing more advanced students to practice and enhance their abilities. In other words, students of all ability levels are welcome to participate in the clinic.
This clinic is a preparation for a competitive high school team for the 2015-16 school year, so the clinic will be offered to 8th-12th grade students only. This is so we might gauge student interest, assess ability levels, and make plans for the up-coming season.
In order to participate in the spring clinic, each student must complete the athletic packet and pay a fee of $100 to STEM Academy. This fee covers equipment, court rental fees, the coach's stipend, and a STEM tennis t-shirt.
Please email Sara.Honda@stemhigh.org or Alexandra.Braeger@stemhigh.org to receive the full registration packet.
