STEM Academy will be hosting a FIRST Robotics Competition team this year in the STEM High School engineering labs. All STEM High School students are encouraged to sign-up and we will welcome interested students from other high schools as well! Students will be taught all the skills they need to be an active and productive member of the team.
This year's STEM FRC team will be coached by a team of veteran parent volunteers and STEM staff. Students will be taught about all aspects of robotics and receive hands-on training from professionals in specific skills related to design, fabrication, and programming. Core values of gracious professionalism, safety, and creativity will be stressed throughout the year. Parents are encouraged to earn their volunteer time by supporting team meetings (technical and non-technical help is welcome). Please contact Sara Phelps (firstname.lastname@example.org, 303-683-7836) with any questions.
$120/student to support material costs, team registration fees, and other team fees.
