Lego Robotics Summer Camp 2019
Calling all 4th-6th graders with an interest in lego robotics and programming! Join us this summer for an exciting camp. This camp is being put on by our high school FIRST Robotics team (Team Impulse) to introduce a younger generation to the world of Lego Robotics.
During the week, your student will participate in one of two paths, depending on their experience:
Introduction to Robotics
This camp is designed to introduce your child to the basic concepts of robotics, using the LEGO Mindstorm EV3 kits and software. We will cover the basics of design, movement, and sensor usage, all while learning how it relates to the real world. Your child will demonstrate their newfound abilities by programming their robot to complete a fun challenge!
Robotics with LEGO Mindstorm
This camp is designed for children with prior experience with the LEGO Mindstorm EV3 kits, or for children who participated in the FIRST Introduction to Robotics Camp the week prior. Your child will learn more about the abilities provided by the EV3 Software and how they connect to the real world, alongside an introduction to the FIRST programs and the First Lego League and Junior First Lego League Programs. Participants will demonstrate what they have learned at the end of the camp by designing and programming a robot to complete a fun challenge.
